"Not asked for, not expected, not planned and yet arrived. Een harlekijneend is the continuation of the mud wrestling. The book is half and half chopped: FZ the first, Captain Beefhart the second half." The title of the book is taken from Captain Beefheart's song Golden Birdies – "the panataloon duck white goose neck quacked".

Cor van Diejen: After the international bestseller Een modder van inventie, I thought I was done with FZ on paper. However, it soon started to itch again. There were two reasons for this: Captain Beefheart came off badly in the modder book and the amount of 'overdue maintenance' at FZ had decreased, but had not been eliminated. That's why we've bundled texts one more time. The harvest of 2018 could be included in this bundling. Mud wrestling readers know what's in store for them.

United Mutations: Some copies came with a photo of Captain Beefheart (Paradiso 1980). Bookmarks have been spotted as well.

The author of this book previously contributed for a long time to the Dutch fanzine The Black Page.

Fragment w automatic translation:
Allergies are hard to fight, as are prejudices. A certain percentage of FZ followers don't get happy about the vaudeville period and the odious release Tengo Na Minchia Tanta won't change that. Still, this CD, recorded at the Fillmore East in New York, on 13 and 14 November 1970 (two concerts both dates), is an asset. In addition to the more or less usual repertoire, some special constructions crop up, adding to the value of the whole and to some extent confirming Darwin's theories.
