Zappa - il fumetto (Zappa - the comic) by Giuseppe Ciarallo (conception, script and texts) and Manlio Truscia (illustrations) tells about the kaleidoscopic universe of Frank Zappa through the testimonies of those who knew him (Edgar Varése, Steve Allen, Ray Collins, Jimmy Carl Black, Ruth Underwood, Howard Kaylan, Mark Volman, Ritchie Blackmore, Guido Harari, Kent Nagano, Massimo Bassoli, Tanino Liberatore, Fabio Treves, Matt Groening). The book is enriched by a mini essay entitled "From Z to A - My Frank Zappa in the form of an encyclopedic diary" and 14 color illustrations by internationally renowned illustrators.
