First Cinéfilo was published as a weekly supplement of the daily newspaper O Seculo (The Age) from 1928 to 1939. Second Cinéfilo (so called "nova série") was also a weekly cinema magazine restarted in the 60s. Cinéfilo was in the 70s (before the 1974 April Carnation Revolution) an important art and cultural magazine.
