Frank Zappa is using his current concert tour
to sign up eligible voters. The drive got off to a record start
when 400 people at Zappa's Albany performance registered, the
most-ever in one day for the county. Frank will be working with
election officials at each stop on his two-month jaunt. His
tour manager insists Zappa's not supporting any one candidate,
he just wants people to choose for themselves. What an incredible
concept!!

Frank Zappa, wife Gail and all the kids showed
up at the Pro-Choice Rally at Rancho Park in Los Angeles representing
"the American Family." They joined other luminaries like Jesse
Jackson, Barbra Streisand, the cast of L.A. Law and Bonnie Raitt,
who sang a poignant "Angel From Montgomery." Zappa told the
100,000-plus crowd "to stand up those people with the fish on
their bumpers," before urging them to "Get the government out
of our bedrooms and out of our underpants and back to work!"
