Dutch Zappa Songbooks
You could find these songbooks in the Netherlands' record shops in the 70s and 80s. The books were privately made, typed on typewriter, sheets duplicated and stapled.
freestyle_k @ ebay:
In the mid seventies a rare series of lyric books of rock groups was published in the Netherlands. Copies were sold at alternative book shops, independent record stores and fashion shops. The books contains the original lyrics of all records of the artists till publication of the book. No publishing company was mentioned. It remains a secret who is behind this series...
Here are some examples of the other performer's Dutch songbooks.
1970 (?)
This is the earliest songbook we know. Published most probably in the 1970 or 1971. According to the note on page 1 it is already 3rd edition. This book is made by Jos, who "had no time to correct errors, because he is distributing the books all over the Netherlands". The cover drawing by Bert.
The book has 30 pages and includes lyrics from Freak Out! to Chunga's Revenge.
Dank an alle Mother & Zappa fans.

Thanks to all Mother & Zappa fans.
With this third edition I would like to thank artist Bert, Ron & Paul & Pieter & Ludo & Iris & Bert. As we known, there are already several things about Frank & the Mothers in the first & second edition.
Due to a lack of time (I spread them all over the Netherlands) I could not correct the known errors, but if there will ever be a fourth edition, the errors will generally disappear.

the songbook came from a german seller, the only other one i saw came from france ... i'd say it's from france based on the attempted english spelling of some of the lyrics, even when they were copied from lp inserts [eg. supermarket]
