Ivanov was the very first rock newspaper officially published in the USSR. The newspaper was founded in 1989 in city Tula by Sergei Stepanov (Сергей Степанов). The publication continued later in Russia and until 1994 six issues in total were printed. The newspaper had tight connections with one of the most popular Russian hard rock bands Alisa, whos leader Konstantin Kinchev was a member of the board of Ivanov and who financed the publication of this paper.
