Jam

 USA

Jam, subtitled Entertainment News, a free alternative music fortnightly magazine was founded in 1989 by Darrel Massaroni in Altamonte Springs, Florida. In 1993 they purchased the Tampa-area free publication Music Players Magazine, with which they had been exchanging articles since the beginning. In 1995 the subtitle was changed to Florida's Music Magazine. From 1996 until the end in 2000 Jam was published and edited by George C. Biggers. The magazine had three local editions: North/Central, West and South.
(There is another not related monthly Jam Magazine, established in 1979 and issued in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas.)

Zappaween – St. Petersburg's Bogus Pomp
By Kristin Harmel, pp 6-7

Attention Zappaphiles; The closest you'll ever come to experiencing Halloween with Frank Zappa himself will be the fourth annual Zappaween at the State Theater in St. Petersburg. In keeping with Zappa's tradition of wacky Halloween performances, Zappa tribute band, Bogus Pomp, will perform almost three hours of Zappa's music live this Halloween.
